The layout welcomed a new CN locomotive this week. ScaleTrains produced the GE ES44AC in the ex-CitiRail paint scheme. This is my second locomotive in this scheme. The first was a Walthers locomotive. This ScaleTrains locomotive is a step up from the Walthers one (the price reflects that, too). It's full of sound and lighting features. I appreciate that the locomotive comes with a Keep Alive capacitor already installed. CN 2756 is a great addition to my CN fleet.
Three of Rapido's PC&F boxcars in St. Lawrence and Atlantic paint arrived a few weeks ago. I appreciate that Rapido produced a boxcar for SLR. Rapido did a great job and these cars have so much more detail compared to the Athearn car I got at last year's Concord Train Show. That being said, it's nice to have four cars with the St. Lawrence and Atlantic logo.
I have two more of these boxcars preordered. They are in the EEC Berlin Mills Railway patchout and Guilford B&M paint schemes. I'm looking forward to their arrival on the layout.
