Fleet Friday: Walthers ES44AC

    I ordered my first Walthers Mainline locomotive.  Walthers was the first to produce this locomotive in the CN (ex Citirail) paint scheme.  It comes equipped and ESU Loksound decoder.  Overall, it looks and sounds good.  It runs well, too.  You can see the patch-outs for the Citirail logo and locomotive number.  

    The locomotive does not come with grab irons, but they can be purchased from Walthers.  I ordered a set that I'll install at some point.

    I also have a preorder for ScaleTrains version of this locomotive.  It'll be fun to see the differences between the two.  I'll share the comparisons in a future post.
